Trademark 

Trademarks and service marks owned by the Company include but are not limited to BIMed Sdn Bhd as well as each logo on all sites. All other trademarks and trade names are the property of their respective owners. 

General rules 

The company has a fast -growing user community and encourages comments to be made on articles, stories and blog posts. We focus on this community and always strive to ensure mutually respectful, engaging and informative conversations. To that end, we set general guidelines for reviewing. These guidelines are enforced 24/7 through a mediation system that includes a team of staff and mediation tools. 

If in our absolute opinion, your comments consistently or intentionally make this community a less civil and fun place for you and your comments will be excluded from it.The company encourages an open, transparent and courteous atmosphere for comments and users. Critical, in -depth and thoughtful discussions and submissions are strongly encouraged.

A.     Prohibited Matters Everyone is welcome and encouraged to voice their opinions regardless of identity, politics, ideology, religion or agreement with other community members, post authors or staff members as long as opinions are respectfully clarified and constructively adds to the conversation. However, this community will not tolerate direct or indirect attacks, verbal or abusive words, nor will it tolerate deliberate attempts to divert, hijack, ‘troll’ or lure others to give an emotional response. We reserve the absolute discretion to delete such comments from the community if appropriate. Individuals who consistently or intentionally make such comments may be alerted online and, if necessary, removed from the community and/or reported to the relevant authorities. We have formulated the following General Rules so that everyone can reap the maximum benefits from BIMed Sdn Bhd. Please note that these rules also apply to submissions of various media such as images, video and audio clips, as well as content related to you such as avatar images. Examples of comments that are not permitted under our General Rules include but are not limited to: 

  • Which is rude/hurtful/obscene;
  • Fraud, deceive or defraud;
  • Off topic;
  • Spam (such as the same review made repeatedly) or inserting certain links to other sites;
  • Implicitly or explicitly attack and/or defame any third party;
  • Offensive comments about any gender, ethnic origin, religion, race or culture;
  • Promoting any illegal activities;
  • Describe or encourage activities that may endanger the safety or welfare of others;
  • Promoting certain political services, products or organizations;
  • Appears to disguise oneself as someone else;
  • Contains disclosures of personal information including name, contact number, address, email etc .;
  • Infringes the ownership, copyright or trademark of any party;
  • Violation of the law and/or breach of any rules or laws currently in force;
  • Written in a language other than English, Bahasa Malaysia unless expressly stated;
  • Any other comments deemed inappropriate by the Team;
  • Advertising or promoting products or websites is not permitted anywhere in BIMed Sdn Bhd. This includes links to:
  • Personal website or forum;
  • Surveys and questionnaires;
  • Trade websites or auction sites that exist primarily to sell products.
  • Details of charity events or fundraisers
  • For example, if it relates to a discussion, a link can be made to a website that sells albums or books if this helps other users or recommends something that might interest them. However, placing a link to your own band’s album or trying to encourage buyers to visit your own e-bay auction site or fundraiser may result in your post being deleted.

Risk of violating copyright law

 Copyright law exists to prevent a person from plagiarizing the work of another. These laws apply to the internet in the same way as TV, books and media. Violations of copyright law can result in action being taken in court. 

Please do not include long excerpts of text copied from other sources, as this may be a copyright infringement. Short quotes to highlight something may be allowed, however this is at our discretion.If you wish to refer to external sources of information, it is advisable if you include a link to the relevant external website. 

In addition, posts with heavy text language or unintelligible language such as code, are also not allowed as this can disrupt the natural flow of conversation. 

Contributing material to the BIMed Sdn Bhd community with intent to commit a crime, violate the law, or support or promote illegal activity is strictly prohibited. 

In addition, we may delete posts that we deem may be harmful to other users – which include but are not limited to, offering medical and health advice, or promoting drug or alcohol abuse or self -harm.

Contains potentially defamatory statements 

Defamation laws exist to protect individuals and/or organizations from improper, false or untrue attacks on their reputation. 

Posting a defamatory statement on a blog is the same as publishing it in a newspaper or magazine and can result in legal proceedings being initiated. 

To avoid legal proceedings being initiated, please ensure that you verify the information in your post as true and accurate, especially when citing negative statements as fact. In addition, avoid drawing hasty conclusions, exaggerating stories or making subtle implications. Please keep in mind that adding the word ‘said’ in a statement does not mean that the statement is not defamatory. 

You and BIMed Sdn Bhd can both be held liable if you make defamatory statements on the BIMed Sdn Bhd website. We will delete comments if we do not have enough evidence to defend the publication of your statement. This means that BIMed Sdn Bhd intermediaries can take a very careful attitude when considering some comments. 

Cursing or harassing 

Abusive or harassing behavior is not allowed at BIMed Sdn Bhd. This includes: 

• Using swear words (including abbreviations or alternative spellings) or other language that is most likely to offend.

• Harassing, threatening or causing suffering or inconvenience to any person or persons.

• ‘Flaming’: This means posting an angry and inconsiderate post.

• ‘Trolling’: This means deliberately stating provocative things just to cause chaos.

• Infringes the rights, restricts or prevents others from using and obtaining benefits from BIMed Sdn Bhd.

• Trying to disguise yourself as someone else.

• Using multiple accounts to disrupt message boards, annoy users, or to avoid pre-mediation.

• Bumping or creating duplicate threads, inserting posts in such a way as to cause technical problems, or any other attempt to disrupt the casual flow of conversation.
• User accounts that seriously or repeatedly display such behavior may be subject to pre-mediation or permanently blocked and not re-authorized.
• Offensive
• Reviews containing offensive content are not allowed on BIMed Sdn Bhd. Racist, sexist, homophobic, disabling, obscene, abusive or obscene material will be deleted and if exaggerated will cause your account to be blocked immediately and permanently.

Off topic 

Comments that are not related to the subject of the article post you contributed – are considered ‘off topic’. 

Please do not contribute off -topic material in articles that have a specific subject, unless the article is stated as an open post. If your comment was deleted because it was off topic, you may be able to re -enter your comment in the more appropriate section of the topic.

Contains personal details
Entering contact or identification details in comments such as phone numbers, postal addresses or emails is not permitted on most services. Please do not disclose any personal information about yourself or others as this may put you or others at risk.

Risk of contempt of court  When a suspect is arrested for an offense, or misdemeanors, legal sanctions will apply. Please be careful when discussing reports of arrests or court proceedings. Links to archived news stories, blog posts, and comments may also be illegal as Malaysian contempt law typically prohibits any reference to a prior conviction for someone facing new court proceedings.

Contains spam

 ‘Spamming’ or ‘flooding’ is not allowed in BIMed Sdn Bhd. ‘Spamming’ means frequently posting the same or nearly identical contributions on various blogs or posts. ‘Flooding’ means repeatedly resubmitting your contribution to the same site. Please do not use signatures below your comments to promote websites, services, products, or campaigns. This will cause your post to be deleted as it is considered spam. 

Contains an inappropriate URL

For example, you can’t link to:

• Content that is illegal, inappropriate or obscene.

• Websites that require payment to gain access.

• Foreign language content.

• Websites that initiate file downloads or require additional software to view them. This includes .pdf and .mp3 files.

• Websites that advertise or promote products

• In some cases, moderators will edit the link and leave other comments that can be seen on the message board. If so the link will be replaced by the statement [Unsuitable/ broken URL removed by moderator] 

The Company welcomes feedback, both positive and negative, about our programs and services but please ensure that your comments comply with the General Rules above. 

Repeatedly posting posts that contain personal or offensive comments against individuals or those who work with the Company and its group of companies can be considered harassment. We reserve the right to delete such messages and take action against those responsible.

B. Mediation Process 

To maintain a polite atmosphere, our moderation team may read comments before they are displayed to other users. If so, you can see that your comment is awaiting approval. Approval time depends on the number of comments throughout the site, so you are expected to be patient; we will deal with all comments as soon as possible.

C. Things to Encourage. 

Be fair to yourself, not others. The opinion of every human being is valuable and unique. If you pretend to be someone else, your unique characteristics or those of others will be lost. Don’t misrepresent yourself or others, spread false information, create multiple accounts or “astroturf” (When a user pretends to be an objective commentator, but has a self-interest in the subject). If you do, the community will become a less fun and valuable place and your comments will be deleted when we see them. This community is a safe space. We truly believe that BIMed Sdn Bhd should be a safe space for individuals, groups and their ideas. Therefore, violent and hostile language or calls to commit violence and hostility are not welcome here. If you directly or indirectly threaten the physical or mental well-being of a member of this community, or an individual or group who is the subject of an article, you will be removed immediately. If a credible threat is made against an individual or group, the threat will not only be deleted but will most likely be reported to law enforcement agencies and we will work with them to the extent requested. Personally identifiable information may not be included in the comments section of BIMed Sdn Bhd. This step is detrimental. If you see any threats, harassment or ‘trolling’ of personal information, please report them immediately. If you have any comments, we are always here and provide staff who will read and respond. If you have a complaint, question, concern or feedback – positive or critical – please contact us.
